Lighted Boat Parade
New this year! Join in the fun of a a sunset, lighted boat parade featuring the most elegant of our racing and cruising fleets. Individual power or sail boats making a donation at the Silver medal level and corporate sponsors at the Platinum medal level will be invited to join an elegant and memorable sunset parade as boats pass the club in review decorated with white lights, flags and banners celebrating the event’s beneficiaries and sponsors. Slips at the Monroe Dock will be allocated first to the invited boats participating in the parade and any remaining slips will be allocated to boats on the basis of total donations.

The Chicago Regatta Buoy Races will be run from Chicago Yacht Club’s Belmont Station and and is open to all one design fleets with an LOA above 23 feet.
The Chicago Regatta Distance Race is a 15 - 25 mile distance race, starting and ending off downtown Chicago.
The Distance Race is open to all offshore boats, and will offer both spinnaker and non-spinnaker sections.
The Chicago Regatta DragonForce 65 remote-controlled race will take place immediately following the other race events and will be held at Chicago Yacht Club’s Monroe Station.
Boats may enter these races by completing the entry form available on Yachtscoring, and by making a donation to the Chicago Regatta here. There shall be no fee to enter the Chicago Regatta. However, in order to be scored, participating boats must make a contribution to one of the Chicago Regatta’s three participating charities – the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation, University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, and SOS Children’s Villages Illinois.
