Chicago Yacht Club asks all participants to consider making a generous donation to one or more of our designated charities or
become a donor. Each of our designated charities makes a difference in the lives of Chicago’s children, each in different ways.
The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital has provided comprehensive, innovative medical care to children since its first pediatric facility was opened in 1930. Today, Comer Children's is a 172-bed hospital staffed by highly trained pediatricians, specially trained nurses and caring support staff, who work together to provide general and specialty medical care for newborns to young adults.
SOS Children's Villages Illinois, founded over 25 years ago, is a nonprofit, child welfare agency that serves children in foster care and at-risk youth in communities surrounding its sites. The SOS Children's Villages model of care differs from traditional foster care by keeping brothers and sisters together in an SOS Illinois single-family home, where they are cared for by a full-time, professionally trained foster parent and surrounded by a community of support.
The Chicago Yacht Club Foundation is an organization whose purpose is to bring awareness and appreciation of the nautical arts and traditions to the Chicagoland community. A primary goal is to broaden the horizons of youth through instruction in after school programs, sailing scholarships, and sailing clinics.
